IsatPhone 2

The new IsatPhone 2 can be configured to send automatic position reports, a brand new feature. Read more about it here http://www.inmarsat.com/isatphone/

For all of the features to work properly, you have to configure the delivery address in 3 separate menus on the ISatPhone for each type of position report. There are regular tracking reports, emergency/assistance reports, and personal alerts (check-ins). Please ensure each of these are configured. Note that the personal alert feature is used to support Check-In/OK events from the phone on the portal.

Menu > Location Services > Tracking > Configure Tracking > Edit recipient > Options> Add new recipient > Email

Enter a nickname and enter email isat@{ShortDomain}

Menu > Location Services > Personal Alert > Configure Personal Alert > Edit recipient > Options> Add new recipient > Email

Enter a nickname and enter email pa@{ShortDomain}

Menu > Location Services > Assistance Button > Configure Assistance Button > Edit recipient > Options> Add new recipient > Email

Enter a nickname and enter email alert@{ShortDomain}

Manually Send a Position

  • Go to Menu->GPS position application
  • Options->Send GPS position
  • Send->Text Message
  • Enter “+3197004499494” (Hold down 0 for the + (plus) symbol)
  • Options->Send

In a few moments you will see the position on the portal.
